The Gear Update treats your character as being boosted so it'll have all the same 24 hour restrictions as a normal boosted character would. I would not recommend using the feature unless the character you're using it on is very new with nothing of note on it, like quests, items, etc.

Gearhelper can also automatically need or greed depending what is best for the player, or automatically validate quest, taking the best item or the most expensive. In raid, if a player loot an item that is better than what you have equipped, GearHelper will tel you so.
12 Ιουλ 2023 · Level 10-60 characters that have not logged into the game in 60 days will have a new update on the log-in screen, offering new gear, bags, and an optional cleaning of their quest log before being ported to Chromie to help them get back on track!
If these resources do not help, try the troubleshooting below. If you are having difficulty locating a low-level quest, ensure that you have Low-Level Quest Tracking enabled from the menu beside your minimap. Re-logging into your character can sometimes fix quest progression or phasing issues.
1 Νοε 2023 · Personally, I did it on my lvl 35 dk who I haven't played since pandaria. The gear was indeed an upgrade. Minimal upgrade, but an upgrade. I did it mostly for resetting my location and clearing out my quest log. That came in handy, but resetting my action bars was hella annoying.
