16 Νοε 2007 · I have used them with perfect results, no problems. One thing to remember is they are a "cast" piston which means you have to set the tolerance closer than a forged piston.
29 Ιουλ 2011 · Wiseco are good piston but I use them only in modified engines. Just like Sea dood mentioned, the cleareance is way to loose because they are forged pistons and the expand more. I recommend you stick with pro-X or stock.
3 Μαρ 2013 · I read that cast pistons had better lifespan than forged piston but those WSM almost make me change my mind. A lot of place I read "All I use is wiseco", it's what i have and I feel going another route.
28 Οκτ 2005 · WSM are good pistons, don't get me wrong and they are cheap. I ran them in my 95xp800 with no problem, but that was on a stock ski. Not sure how they hold up on a modded one.
13 Ιουλ 2012 · The problem that I have with wiseco is that they tend to swell out of round in hot enviroments compared to a cast piston. That sucks. I've had good luck with wiseco's in liquid cooled applications when it gets really hot.
27 Απρ 2021 · The ring end gaps slightly above the max end gap spec'd in the manual so I called WSM and they said OMC had changed the spec a couple years back due to ring breakage. Apparently the wider gap gives greater reliability.
8 Νοε 2006 · All I use is Wiseco pistons. There was one time though I went cheap and bought a WSM, couple weeks later, the piston just broke into pieces. Never tried Pro X, and neither have my friends so I have no idea about them.
