5 Σεπ 2024 · Tanks were a dominant weapon on the battlefields of World War II. Here are ten on of the most legendary thanks that served in the global conflict, ranked.
From the snowy steppes of Russia to the soaky jungles of New Guinea, from the sands of Egypt to the grassy plains of Western Europe, the tanks were wherever soldiers were to be seen. They fought in most battles of the Second World War, some of these have become legendary like Kursk, one of the largest armored clashes in the history of mankind.
The main new features of 7TP were: a better, more reliable and powerful diesel engine (which made the 7TP world's first diesel tank), 37 mm anti-tank gun, and slightly thicker armor (17 mm in front instead of 13 mm). Only about 132 tanks were produced between 1935 and the outbreak of the war.

Few tanks – with one notable exception – that began the war were still capable of providing effective front-line service when the war ended. In 1939, the 23 ton Panzer III was Germany’s most powerful tank, and it’s 37mm antitank gun was the day’s deadly anti-armor state of the art.
