Meet Wyoming's Waiting Kids. We’ve made reels for over 400 kids and nearly half of them have been matched with an adoptive family (and thus their reels are no longer on our site)! To inquire about a waiting child, please email info@thereelhopeproject.org.
The training addresses the following issues critical to adopting waiting children: grief and loss, effects and behaviors resulting from exposure to domestic violence, parenting abused and neglected children, parenting children across racial and cultural lines, and the sexual behaviors of traumatized children.
Respect their right to privacy, and be aware that they may attend school or church, or play at the local park with your children and relatives. The availability of their pictures leaves our children recognizable and vulnerable to negative attention.
The Reel Hope Project speaks at multiple churches and events every week to share the stories of kids who are waiting for families, and to mobilize the Church to learn more about adopting from foster care. With your partnership, we can share each child's story further and faster.
