1 Απρ 2020 · How to Use. When you open Excel, you will see a new Tickmarks tab in the Ribbon. Tickmarks tab the Ribbon. The first 18 icons will add a tickmark to the active cell. The 19th icon is “Remove All Tickmarks”. Use that with caution, as it removes all tickmarks.
1. Select the cells where you want to add the mark, change the font as Webdings. 2. If you would like to add a tick mark, please type “a”. 3. If you would like to add a cross mark, please type “r”.
The tick symbol has been inserted in the cell. The formula I used in cell B2 is =CHAR (252). The main benefit of using the CHAR function to insert tick marks is that you can combine it with the IF function to easily insert tick and cross symbols in cells based on a criteria in other cells.
