If you want to get an absolutely perfect experience, especially on a few troublesome games, a dedicated machine running Windows XP will get you that. But if you consider having another computer a bad thing and don’t want to go through the trouble, your ultra-modern gaming rig will work just fine.

8 Μαρ 2016 · I uploaded this just for historical purposes. You are better off fetching your updates with the WSUS Offline tool instead (given that you know what you are doing with Windows XP post end-of-support).
Take a look at the Microsoft Security Bulletin Search tool to determine which updates you'll need to download. Here are the settings I recommend to get all of the relevant updates after post-SP3. Then it's just a matter of downloading the relevant install executables for offline use.
