My positive experience with Xulane (the patch) Experience. I've been on the patch for 1.5 years. I feel like many people don't know about the patch, but I would consider it as an alternative for IUDs, implants, and the ring because it's also a place-and-forget method (up to a week at a time).
For me, Xulane was the first birth control Id experienced in 2021. I was only on the patch for a month. Everything was alright with your usual nausea and sore breasts side effects, except the Bleeding I did for a whole month. After applying my 4th patch, however, i woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat with my heart and head drumming.
I am no longer on the patches that I used and haven't been since the end of August 2022 (my partner got a vasectomy and we use condoms). I have been on 2 different patches, Xulane and Zafemy for about 3 years. Here are my experiences with each one. Xulane: 2019 - 2021.
29 Ιουν 2020 · If you're reading this and you're unsure, I totally recommend the Xulane patch! I keep mine on my lower abdomen, and I put a clear Nexcare Tegaderm on top of my patch (lasts up to 7 days, no issue) to secure it and give me peace of mind.
