My positive experience with Xulane (the patch) Experience. I've been on the patch for 1.5 years. I feel like many people don't know about the patch, but I would consider it as an alternative for IUDs, implants, and the ring because it's also a place-and-forget method (up to a week at a time).

For Birth Control "Used this for two days during the first day of my period, I had pulsing headaches, nausea and throwing up for about two hours. I have to get off of the patch because, my headaches became unbearable after the second day.
In the middle of 2021, my HCP started sending me Zafemy instead of Xulane. When I asked why, apparently in the city I lived in, Zafemy was what was available. Immediately, I noticed that Zafemy was A LOT thinner than the Xulane patch.

If your XULANE patch becomes uncomfortable or your application site is red, painful or swollen, change your XULANE patch. Remove your XULANE patch and apply a new patch to a new location until your next “Patch Change Day”.
