I changed my password on Yahoo now Outlook keeps requesting user password but states it is incorrect and Windows mail keeps advising to check settings. I have tried everything. I even tried adding my account again but the same message still appears.
11 Αυγ 2023 · ISSUE. When adding a Yahoo IMAP account to Outlook Desktop, some users find that they are unable to generate an App Password. On the Yahoo Account Security page, the App Password Generator gives an error “ Sorry, this feature is not available right now! ”.
18 Δεκ 2017 · When the domain email address's password changes, the Outlook password should be changed as well for them to sync. You can check on this link for other ways to update or change your password. Look for Change my password in Outlook on the lower part of the article.
Change or update your email password in Outlook for Windows. If you intend to change your email password, you must do that with your email provider (e.g., Microsoft 365, Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, Xfinity, or a corp. Exchange server). Then you will need to update the password in Outlook.
