In this lesson learners will revise some film review vocabulary through pair-work discussions. They they will write their own film review after analysing a model. Then they will read each other’s reviews and have a class vote about which film looks most interesting.

28 Ιουν 2021 · LESSON OVERVIEW. This free ESL lesson plan on film and cinema has been designed for adults and young adults at an intermediate (B1/B2) to advanced (C1/C2) level and should last around 45 to 60 minutes for one student. Going to the cinema to see the movies is something everyone loves.
This lesson is a sort of an activity that I´ve used with a great deal of success for years. It helps students practice written modal through guidance in order write a film review. A detailed lesson plan is also provided for teachers to help guide running the lesson. Level: intermediate. Age: +15.

Words like blockbuster, avant-garde, disjointed, or uninspired can help elevate movie reviews in ELA from “friendly recommendations” to “review quality.” I find a printable list of useful writing terms is especially helpful.
