Yes, senior citizens aged 65 and above can join the YMCA with discounted membership rates. Individual seniors pay $41 per month, while senior households pay $68 per month. Additionally, seniors may qualify for free YMCA memberships through participating insurance programs like Silver&Fit®, SilverSneakers®, and Renew Active®.
At the Y, we love our senior members. Our Centres offer a number of specialty classes for people 60 years and over run by qualified instructors. Gyms provide social connection and a genuine sense of community, helping to combat loneliness and isolation. Sign up through our Member Portal, or contact us to sign up in-person!

Across the country, a growing number of Ys offer Enhance®Fitness, an evidence-based group exercise program for older adults that uses simple, easy-to-learn movements that motivate individuals (particularly those with arthritis) to stay active throughout their life.
Through group exercise classes and aquatic programs that concentrate on mobility and flexibility, dance classes, social events, and volunteer activities, the YMCA is bringing active older adults together for camaraderie, fellowship and fun. Most senior programs are free for Y members. Events.
