Uganda YMCA, Kampala, Uganda. 124 likes. As the National Secretariat, Uganda YMCA co-ordinates branch activities, but also manages its own, which include the Driving and Computer Schools.
The Kampala YMCA is located in Wandegeya, Kampala, Uganda. The building dates from 1962, and houses the non-denominational YMCA Comprehensive Institute, for vocational training. The basement is the Kampala Music School, independent of the YMCA, which trains for ABRSM examinations.

Uganda YMCA became prominent by its hosting of representatives of around 80 countries, in July 1973 in the 6th YMCA World Council meeting, in Kampala. It was from this meeting that YMCA's Kampala Principles derive.
