This program emphasizes student interests and academic balance, while providing accessible AP courses for all students. Yorktown High School offers 32 AP courses in many content areas, and AP Capstone courses are skill-based courses that focus on student-centered inquiry.
High School students who have completed prerequisite courses are eligible for Advanced Placement courses as well as Virtual Virginia Advanced Placement courses. Students enrolled in an Advanced Placement course are encouraged to take the Advanced Placement exam for that course.
