In the original Hebrew terms such as Kesîl, Lêtz, Petî, and Evîl differentiate the differences. These terms reflect a progression in the depth and nature of foolishness.
26 Απρ 2012 · foolish, senseless, fool. It comes from nabel <05034>, which has a literal meaning of: to wilt; generally, to fall away, fail, faint. The foolish meaning is figurative. Perhaps the idea is that such a person is corrupt or morally weak.
The Scornful Fool. The Hebrew word that denotes a “scornful fool” is lûwts (LOOTS). It means “to make mouths at, i.e. to scoff.” The scornful fool’s facial expressions communicate the disdain and contempt he has in his heart toward his authorities, including parents, civil authorities, and God.
