Move face-up cards only. A face-down card in the tableau cannot be overturned and played until the face-up card on top of it is removed. If you play a face-up card from the waste pile, it will reveal another face-up card that can then be played on the foundation piles or tableau columns.
You may only move the face-up cards. You may move cards onto and off the foundations. In situations where there are no available moves left on the tableau, you can start introducing new cards from the stockpile.
Play the classic Klondike Solitaire for free with no download or registration required. We have Turn 1, Turn 3, and Double Klondike variations available.
Moving cards from waste to tableau: Cards are move 3 at a time from the stock pile into the waste pile. You can move the top card of the waste card to the tableau if it is an allowed move: either one rank down and of opposite suit, or a King to an empty column.
If you free a space on the tableau, depending on your specific rules, you can move only King cards or you may move any card (remember to change the rules settings on this site to whichever rules you prefer to play with).
When making moves, you can only put a card to the next higher-ranking card of an opposite color. You can move either separate cards or the whole sequence if they meet the rule of an alternation. Once the card is moved, the face-down card that was beneath it should be revealed.
