Upon connection to the net the dashboard will update to the latest release and any installed apps no longer supported will be uninstalled upon request of the publisher. But games and live still work for now. I've used both YouTube and Netflix recently (Hulu too) on my 360. Amazon Prime no longer works though (shut it down last November IIRC).

Netflix, Vimeo, and YouTube still work great on 360. Plex works but is finicky, 360 can also find media server PCs/ laptops on your network and stream shared videos from them with system video player app.
