The z-index Property. When elements are positioned, they can overlap other elements. The z-index property specifies the stack order of an element (which element should be placed in front of, or behind, the others). An element can have a positive or negative stack order:

18 Μαΐ 2018 · If we now want to change the stacking order of these elements, we can use the property z-index. An element with a higher z-index will be displayed in front of an element with a lower z-index. One thing to note is that z-index only works with positioned elements.
