Zen masters often tell their students to make “[their] whole body one great inquiry.” In perusing this list, I recommend you do the same, lingering a while on each koan, letting it become your only focus for a while.
With these basic ideas of Zen in mind it should be easy to find solutions for Koans. But it isn't. Zen believes contradict our everyday experiences. The world is NOT simple. We NEED at least basic theories and concepts in our everyday life. We're NOT identifying ourselves with everything.
Koan riddles, Zen-Koans, Buddhist Koans, Zen-riddles are only different names for short Buddhist stories from medevial China. The stories are about simple everyday events like tipping over a pot, climbing a tree, hurting somebody, cleaning a bowl, lighting a candle etc.
