Anyone have any experience/recommendations of where to park for the Trail of Lights? We are trying to go but parking passes are sold out for it and live 30 minutes away so Uber/Lyft aren’t a great option.

We bought a parking pass ahead of time, the zip pass and showed up around 545 and waited in line to park for about 5 minutes. We grabbed some beers and hot chocolates and strolled in around 6pm. The kids had a great time.
buying the zip pass was great. we walked in at 6:15 and there were no crowds. the regular line was already building up for entry at 7:00. The drive in is probably the worst part. South bound MOPAC to BartonSky is a bitch from 4-7pm. One can also park along Barton Hills Drive just south of the pool.
If you like Santa live or in a space ship or as a dinosaur then you'll enjoy a drive through th Trail of Lights at Zilker Park this December. Missing are the bonfire and hot chocolate with the drive through experience but its just great to have this back.
