ABOUT ZINGERMAN’S. Zingerman’s Delicatessen opened in March 1982 with a staf of two, a small selection of great tasting specialty foods, a host of Jewish dishes and a short sandwich menu. The deli is still thriving, making corned beef reubens and cutting cheese to order.
Payton once worked at a restaurant where the staff would make holiday themed sandwiches for their employee meals. She is a huge fan of our Zingerman’s smoked turkey, saying it’s the best she’s ever tried and felt it was perfect for a Thanksgiving themed sandwich. And the name?
