12 Μαΐ 2019 · I agree with most of what you posted with the exception of limiting 123 to spot priming. I trust 123 as a full bare drywall primer even when I don't use a PVA sealer as a first coat treatment. 123 also provides a decent sheen holdout for top coats.

Of the many primers that I have tried over the years, the Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 water-based primer has been one of the best for interior and exterior use. This primer may be matched by the Kilz Premium High-Hide Stain Blocking primer.
