The Zou arc is one of the short arcs in the series where Oda takes his time to set up future arcs and acts as more of a resting place for both the Straw Hats and the readers. Despite the minor significant that these arcs carry, however, this arc still has some very emotional punches and sets up things far grander than just one future arc.
