9 Σεπ 2024 · Cardiac axis represents the sum of depolarisation vectors generated by individual cardiac myocytes. Clinically is is reflected by the ventricular axis, and interpretation relies on determining the relationship between the QRS axis and limb leads of the ECG (below diagram)

5 Ιουν 2023 · The cardiac axis is related to the area of significant muscle bulk within the healthy conducting system. A typical cardiac axis is between -30 to +90 degrees. A quick way to estimate the axis is by looking at leads I and aVF.
The electrical axis reflects the average direction of ventricular depolarization during ventricular contraction. The direction of the depolarization (and thus the electrical axis) is generally alongside the hearts longitudinal axis (to the left and downwards).
28 Φεβ 2011 · Cardiac axis describes the overall direction of electrical spread within the heart. In a healthy individual, the axis should spread from 11 o’clock to 5 o’clock . To determine the cardiac axis, you must look at leads I, II and III .
A complete guide to systematic ECG interpretation; assessment of rhythm, rate, P-wave, PR interval, QRS complex, J point, J 60 point, ST segment, T-wave, QT (QTc) interval and much more. Includes a complete e-book, video lectures, clinical management, guidelines and much more.
2 Απρ 2016 · The QRS axis reflects the general direction of the electrical current as it flows across the heart. Bundle branch block and fascicular block typically cause axis deviation and abnormalities of...
31 Αυγ 2023 · This topic review provides the framework for a systematic analysis of the ECG. ECG GRID. The ECG is a plot of voltage on the vertical axis against time on the horizontal axis. The electrodes are connected to a galvanometer that records a potential difference.
