The neutral zone trap (often referred to as simply the trap) is a defensive strategy used in ice hockey to prevent an opposing team from proceeding through the neutral zone (the area between the blue lines) and to force turnovers.
Overview of the Full Ice 1-3-1. This system will allow your team to outnumber opponents low in the defensive zone and be extremely aggressive in the offensive zone. This system uses slightly different terminology for the positions which are the following: Forward (1) Center mid (1) Center Wings (2) Defender (1)
