After Dark Fansubs came together on the AKFGFan forums adding subtitles to AKFG videos before branching out to other bands. We aim to help English speaking fans enjoy and more wholly engage in Japanese music and to introduce them to new music at the same time.
The Fansub Database. This site has a list of all the new airing/streaming anime in Japan, and which fansub groups are subbing (or plan to sub) them.
I'm thinking about it, and AFK might not have picked it up back then. Check and look for Chihiro fansubs. It's been 15 years but I think that's the group that did the 2009 episodes lol

The oldest Fansub groups I still remember were 3emran subs (Arabic) and AnimeJunkies , A.F.K (English)
Watched a.f.k.'s and SS/Eclipse's releases of episode 1 simultaneously and both were excellent fansubs. This release is up to the quality that we'd expect after seeing MoHS from afk.
