New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. Pretty much all subs for anime are done by professional teams now. Fansubs really aren't a thing anymore. You are a decade late. GJM, Commie, Chihiro, MTBB, DDY, Kaleido, SCY are the big ones that are still active these days.
Haruhi did change hands a few times so it wouldn't shock me. It was originally released in the west under Bandai, and they were very aware of AFK subs; I remember at the time they mentioned they would not deviate too far from how AFK translated certain things.
6 Απρ 2018 · DameDesuYo are pretty much the only good active, albeit slow, group around. Commie can be good too. GoodJobMedia are making a comeback and they're good. If you're after blu-ray releases, Kametsu are good as they make use of the best sources available for video/audio/subs.
For comparing groups for an anime (and for the most part being able to see which subtitles are available for an anime) I also recommend https://fansub.co. Type your anime into the search bar and then read the comments & check the results in the poll to see what the general consensus is.
