Le château royal d'Amboise est une ancienne résidence des rois de France surplombant la Loire, à Amboise, en Indre-et-Loire. Il fait partie des châteaux de la Loire. Avant d'être rattaché à la couronne en 1434, le château appartenait, depuis plus de quatre siècles, à la puissante maison d'Amboise.

Built on a rocky outcrop, the Royal Château of Amboise majestically surveys the Loire. The château became a royal residence at the start of the Renaissance and was the first to introduce the Italian taste to the Loire Valley thanks to King Charles VIII, who built it.
