Amlodipine/benazepril, sold under the brand name Lotrel among others, is a fixed-dose combination medication used to treat high blood pressure. [1] It is a combination of amlodipine, as the besilate, a calcium channel blocker, and benazepril, an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor. [1] It may be used if a single agent is not sufficient. [1] It is taken by mouth.
Adults—At first, one capsule (amlodipine 2.5 milligrams [mg] and benazepril 10 mg) once a day. Your doctor may adjust the dose as needed. However, the dose is usually not more than amlodipine 10 mg and benazepril 40 mg per day. Children—Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.
