28 Οκτ 2024 · Wow, this is discouraging. I purchased the AirPods specifically for this option and, while I like them a lot for podcasts, etc., it’s a shame that I can’t even get through the hearing test in a completely windowless, soundproof room! I sure hope Apple can address this soon.

I debugged further and found a service program that includes the Airpods pro manufactured before Oct 2020 (initially it was 2019 apple silently increased the window to Oct 2020 ;)) The catch here is I investigated further and found my Airpods Pro Model number is: AirPods Pro 1. Model number: A2084.

Making sure that they’re set up correctly, your iPhone is fully updated, and that your AirPods are fully charged can all help. Also, try connecting them in multiple locations (i.e. home, work, etc.) to eliminate the possibility of Bluetooth interference.

Popup appears saying "Place AirPods Pro in Case" (See screenshot for full wording) Putting them back in case for a prolonged period, including both phone and case on charger, does not allow the Hearing Test to proceed. I can use the Hearing Aid mode by loading an older manually entered Audiogram.
14 Οκτ 2021 · Static / Hissing noise (AirPods 3) When I first received my AirPods 3rd Gen, there was a static / hissing noise out of the box. It only occurred when nothing is playing. Updated to the latest software but the problem still persisted. Went to the apple store to get them replaced but the replacement unit had the same problem but worsened.
