With Accelerated Reader, students read widely to build word recognition and language comprehension skills. Reading quizzes monitor overall comprehension, while literacy skills and vocabulary quizzes connect to skill-based classroom instruction.
Start your web browser and go to the web address provided by your school or district. Not sure what address to go to? Start with schools.renaissance.com and search for your school or district to find your login page. After you select a school or district, you will go to the login page, and the school or district name will be at the top of the page.
When students quiz at home, they do not receive immediate feedback from their teachers, which is a recommended best practice. For the most accurate measurement of a child's comprehension level, students should be quizzing in a secure and monitored environment without the book, which is not guaranteed at home.

Each book has online “reading practice” quizzes, which you may hear referred to as “AR tests.” Teachers use these quizzes to track each student’s progress and set appropriate goals for each.
