  1. 6 Ιουν 2002 · I plowed my way through, and came up with my own formula for arc length. Not pretty, but it seems to work, and I checked the results with CAD. my arc formula cell 1 - varible chord length cell 2 - varible height length or rise cell 3 - ATAN(B12/(A12/2))*2 cell 4 - TAN(1.5708-C12)*(A12/2)

  2. 25 Αυγ 2015 · Hey guys, Im putting together a spreadsheet for work, and finding the length of an arc is something we often need to calculate. Theres plenty of webpages that I can just punch the numbers in, but Id like to have it in a spreadsheet, as there are factors prior to this that have already been calculated.

  3. 4 Σεπ 2005 · the circumference of a circle is 2 (Pi * radius) the circumference of a circle = 360 degrees. therefore, divide 2 (Pi * R) by 360 = length of Arc per degree. I suppose working out X and Y coordinates all depends on where you put the origin of the Arc (ie: the centre of the circle at 0,0 or the end of you arc at 0,0) 0.

  4. 23 Ιαν 2017 · Thanks Habtest, but that doesn't work with my variables of an arc radius of 5.7m & an arc length of 1.19m (or 12°)... With the condition the arc starts on Y axis and go clockwise no more than 90 degree. You may want to define an interval degree of 5-15, sort the coordinates, and finally adjust the axis range and size.

  5. 14 Νοε 2010 · So why can't we simply use the circumference formula of C=Pi*D Based on the known data being Pipe 50mm DIA, 45 Degrees and 600mm Radius wouldn't the formula be ; Length = (Pi*Diameter) /(360 Degree Circle / 45 Degree Bend) Length = 3.14159*(600x2+50)/8 Length = 490.87mm (Based on using the centre line of the circumference)

  6. 1-Rise/radius=cos (length/ (2*radius) the arc width is 2 times the radius times the sine of (length/ (2*radius)) the clue is to solve for radius. there is no direct way to solve for the radius so you can use solver to make 1-Rise/radius-cos (length/ (2*radius) =0. or you can do it by entering different values of radius until the equality is there.

  7. 15 Μαΐ 2020 · Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.

  8. 18 Ιαν 2018 · Trying to get a formula to calculate chord when angle and radius are known and would like to be able to calculate distance from chord to center of radius as...

  9. 10 Αυγ 2009 · Currently, I have a set of numbers (employee ID's). Originally they are all 10 digits but when I pull them out of one of my systems it eliminates the zero's in the front end but in my other system they are 10 digits. I am trying to figure out the formula where I can take the ones that aren't ten digits and make them ten digits long. For example:

  10. 2 Μαρ 2004 · The hands on approach I think is perfect (but how to translate to Excel is the question now!): - get a list from somewhere. - sort it from longest to shortest. - get the first part length. - look in the scrap bin for the shortest piece that'll do the job. - cut the piece of scrap if you find one, else cut a piece of stock.
