30 Νοε 2011 · A friend of mine had an S&W model 41 semi-auto target pistol that was durn near as accurate with Thunderbolt bulk ammo as with Eley. Strange. That was around 1980 or a little later. I had a Colt .22 conversion on a 1911 that liked Remington standard velocity. Again, strange. Good Luck.
1 Απρ 2014 · Toss up between Ruger Mark I, II, or III and the Browning Buckmark. The best .22 semi-auto is the Smith & Wesson Model 41. would be the Browning 1911-22, I have a few other .22 pistols I shoot more accurately with, but the Browning hasn't had any failure with any ammo I've got my hands on so far.
16 Αυγ 2011 · Common sense tells us hunting squirrels would sometimes mean shooting up in tree's. That said, please remember two things: 1. a .22 is one of the most dangerous rds. to hunt with due to the fact it will ricochet off of the smallest twig,rock,water,etc. 2. a 22lr can have the distance of up to a mile.
18 Μαΐ 2011 · None of my .22 pistols will cycle the shot shells reliably, but the shoot and will take care of the killer bee's real close. I personally use my RWS pellet rifle on the borers. I would suggest if you want a "bee" pistol which will shoot the .22 shot shells without the feeding issue - get a revolver.
2 Αυγ 2011 · "Best" is a matter of opinion. I have the following semi-autos still in production that could be considered pocket pistols: 1. Sig P238 .380 - Single Action Only. A clone of the Mustang. Pretty good trigger and mine has been reliable. Fairly accurate little pistol.
8 Απρ 2013 · Her favorite .22 semi-auto is my 1977 Ruger MKI with the 4 3/4" barrel. Her favorite revolver is my little 3 " Birds Head Rough Rider with the mother of pearl grips. She has tried the whole "my pistol" deal with both of them. She must have learned that from her mother. She shoots both of them quite well.
3 Απρ 2014 · If you are looking for an absolutely reliable .22 auto pistol, there isn't one. Some are extremely good in general, others not quite so much, but each individual gun is, an individual. And each one might have individual quirks with a particular type/brand of ammo. Even the best of them can have issues with certain ammo.
7 Οκτ 2008 · c3shooter. 28148 posts · Joined 2008. #5 · Oct 7, 2008. Have a Remington 550 and a 550-1 (birthday present from daughter, selected by grandaughter) They will happily digest LR, Longs, Shorts- AND- are my only autos that will cycle with CCI CB Longs. And they are darned accurate rifles.
9 Φεβ 2020 · Posts: 300. I’m down to buying 22 ammo in 3 categories. 1) CCI SV - this is what I buy and shoot for 90% if my uses. I’ve never had anything that wouldn’t run this. A box of 500 runs a bit more than bulk ammo, but I find the reliability and accuracy worth it for my 22s. 2) Target grade ammo for my wife’s built 10/22.
4 Ιουλ 2012 · My "best" old school 22 pistol is my H.S. Victor (about 1968 yr of manufacture, red bottom mags, IIRC). It is the most accurate 22 target pistol of my bunch--and I have a few. The best lookin' one that I own is a 1953 Colt Match Target. PSP posted a pic of his--waaay good lookin'!!
