12 Ιαν 2020 · I don't know what's "best" but here are three tennis books that I regularly use to prepare practice sessions and conditioning. The book by Brody, Cross, Lindsey is great to get a better understanding of the physics in our sport - it definitely broadened my tennis horizon and had a big impact on how I teach tennis.

1. garbobjee • PT280 • 9 yr. ago. John McPhee's Levels of the Game is a great illustration of Arthur Ashe playing Clark Graebner in the 1968 US Open. It shows what went through Ashe's and Graebner minds when they were playing and you can really see how much strategy goes into a tennis match.

The classic tennis book recommendation is Levels of the Game by John McPhee, about the Ashe vs Graebner US Open semifinal and their respective lives.

Open is phenomenal. Lots of people have said it, but it’s a great autobiography even for non-tennis fans. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
