A few of the thing I tried were checking for updates (both driver updates for the camera and Windows updates), disabling and re-enabling my camera in the device manager, and completely removing the device to download the latest driver.

There is not a problem with the GPU nor do I need to purchase a new pc. The black screen resulted from the latest update. And, one can see from a simple google search that many others are having the same issue.

24 Αυγ 2021 · Since a few days, Xbox App stream just show a black screen, whether I want to stream from cloud, my XSX, or XO. Old "Companion" app still streams perfectly for XO. Cloud works perfectly from browsers on the PC. It's clearly the Xbox App that's at fault here.
6 Δεκ 2023 · When I do a test call to another account on another device, the other device sees its own video and the incoming video from the desktop computer just fine, both from the camera and from screen sharing. However, the video on the desktop shows a black screen for both the incoming video from the other device as well as the video from its own camera.
13 Φεβ 2023 · It sounds like it is starting up normally, the little beep sound that always plays before the Windows splash screen plays, but there is no image on the screen. I've tried all the different buttons that are listed for all Acer computers to enter BIOS or open the Boot menu, F2, F8, F9, F12, Del, and nothing seems to work.
