The U.S. Brig Niagara is a two-masted, square-rigged sailing vessel. In 1813, she had a crew of 155 men and boys who manned her sails, 18 carronades and two long guns. The crew was organized into two watch sections (port and starboard) for routine duties while underway.
The U.S. Brig Niagara, otherwise known as Flagship Niagara, represents one of the most historically authentic tall ships in the United States. This version of “the Brig” is a replica reproduction of Oliver Hazard Perry’s relief flagship during the American victory at the Battle of Lake Erie on September 10, 1813.
Whether you’re joining us for a quick 1.5 hour sail on the Lettie G Howard or a 4 hour immersive training sail on the U.S. Brig Niagara, we have a wealth of options for you to choose between for your interest and schedule.
