31 Μαρ 2017 · Though you might find some still floating around, tour permits (local and national) were eliminated in March 2011 and were superseded by tour plans — and then by the Tour and Activity Plan in 2012. All have now been eliminated. How does insurance work in the post-Tour and Activity Plan world?
RETAIN IN COUNCIL SERVICE CENTER COMPLETE AND RETURN TO UNIT OFFICIAL LOCAL TOUR OR CAMP PERMIT BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA. This permit should be in the possession of group leader at all times and displayed when requested by scouting officials or other duly authorized persons.
15 Μαΐ 2023 · Local Tour Permit Applications must be filed at the Viking Council Service Center by mail, via fax (763-546-5140) or in person, at least two weeks in advance of the scheduled activities conducted outside of council boundaries.
At least one adult must have completed Planning and Preparing for Hazardous Weather training for all tours and activities. Trek Safely and Basic First Aid are recommended for all tours, and Wilderness First Aid is recommended for all backcountry tours.
A national Learning for Life and Exploring Tour and Activity Plan is required for all posts/clubs/ groups traveling to areas 500 miles or more one way from home area or crossing national bound-aries into the territory of other nations.
