The CDA® renewal process gives you the opportunity to reaffirm your competence as Preschool, Infant-Toddler, Family Child Care or Home Visitor Child Development Associate®. A CDA credential is valid for 3 years from the award date. Please note: You must renew your CDA credential before it expires.

18 Σεπ 2020 · If your CDA has expired, we recommend that you contact the CDA Council first to ask if they will offer any form of renewal amnesty. You can reach them directly at 1–800-424‑4310. Since your CDA expired before 2010, the CDA Council will likely require that you re-apply for your CDA.
27 Φεβ 2012 · CDA Council for Professional Recognition. The Renewal Amnesty Program begins on March 1. This will allow anyone who has earned or renewed a CDA in the last ten years to apply for Renewal, even if your CDA has expired. This means that if your CDA has a credential date of January 2002 or later, you are eligible for Renewal Amnesty.

If your CDA Credential expires, you will have to reapply to obtain a new credential. Candidates should submit their renewal application on or before their expiration date. Candidates can submit their renewal application up to 6 months before their expiration date.
