WELCOME TO THE CENTRALIA HISTORICAL SOCIETY. Check out the museum & gardens. Tour Hours: 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday & Wednesdays—May through October. Tours are conducted by volunteer docents (tour guides). Special tours may be scheduled by appointment.

In the museum you will find a room dedicated to Centralia’s involvement during the Civil War along with artifacts from former members of the Centralia community. The Chance room holds items from the history of the A.B. Chance Co, now Hubbell Power Systems.
The Centralia Museum is Rich in History. Many items in the house belonged to the Chance family with the balance of items having been donated by area residents. A great example of Chance family items is the Three Graces marble statuary that was made especially to sit under the front staircase.
