Everybody and their mothers started grading every chase card they pull from every set. We have indeed stepped into uncharted territory when it comes to Pokemon Card Collecting/investing hobby.
Until AI grading becomes accurate and a thing, PSA is the go-to if you want to flip for money. Unless you're sure a card can get a BGS black label, then BGS for that card. CGC is a close second to PSA but overlooked since PSA really just has the market cornered. Only time will tell if attitudes will shift towards CGC and/or BGS.

CGC however does have grading pedigree and is currently the go to graders for anything comics. Their fees for grading is currently quite cheap and I am guessing ...
Cgc seems to be a great new option if you want more transparency in the cards you grade. Personally, I just think the casing and label doesn’t look as good as psa or bgs but if they change that, they definitely have my business soon. Personally a bigger fan of Beckett so far, but their pricing has double recently.
13 Απρ 2022 · To me, I would say CGC slabbed cards are worth less, but some people do like them a lot. It's all personal preference and perspective. With the Redditor above stating CGC 10s are worth more then PSA 10s, that may be true. But at the end of the day, if someone was selling me two of the same card, one CGC 10 and one PSA 10, I would get the PSA 10 ...
the CGC labels always stuck out to me with how descriptive they are. if its a JP graded card you'll still know exactly what it is, where it come from (ie deckbox) I’ve used both and in my personal opinion PSA is better for what I want out of a grading company. PSA holds more value and is time tested.
8 Ιουν 2023 · They’re well established just not as much in the Pokémon community. They’re supposed to be a tougher 10 than PSA. Personally, I prefer a different company because I’m not a fan of the black background on SGC’s slabs. But in terms of grading, I heard they’re pretty good. Almost on par with the other three major companies.
7 Αυγ 2020 · I definitely don't want to wait like 8 months with PSA. Plus, I really love the look of the CGC cases and with how strict they are with grading. I originally bought 33 copies of a particular card and after carefully looking over all of them with a fine tooth comb I sold all of them but 12. Those 12 I couldn't find any issues with.
