26 Ιουν 2020 · In the region/language menu, there is only Chinese and no other choices whatsoever. The English language pack is at the top of the preferred language list, but it makes no difference. The only choice for Windows display language is Chinese. There is a drop down menu when you click on the display language, but Chinese is the only choice.
If yes, you may need to install an English language package from this link: Language Accessory Pack for Office - Office Support (microsoft.com) If you can’t change the language in the Chinese version of Office, you can try to uninstall the current Office and reinstall the English version Office from portal.office.com.

1 Αυγ 2022 · I understand from previous posts (and from my new China bought laptop), that the Chinese Windows software operating language cannot be changed in the ways that other languages can - it is locked. Somebody asked if we could simply upgrade it by buying from the US or UK site and if that would change the fundamental system to an English version.

6 Οκτ 2021 · The system language and the display language of my windows 11 PC are English, but the Widgets APP on the taskbar appears in Chinese. What's more, there are a few Chinese characters, which reads "增值电信业务许可证..."in the settings. I feel like the widgets in my PC is of Chinese edition.
25 Απρ 2022 · However when entering English text and clicking out of the edit window, the text remains on the document correctly. However, what I noticed is that the edits in Chinese text are actually working, but just not displaying in Edge. In other words, if I make an edit in Chinese text it doesn't directly display in Edge.
27 Σεπ 2022 · I bought my laptop within China mainland but I prefer my computer to display in English. I have changed preferred language in Settings(a widely used method), and it does work generally. However, there are still occasions when my computer displays in Chinese, such as Widgets on my taskbar, and instructions on a bluescreen.
