27 Απρ 2018 · I tried looking around chromium os for some build but only found .bin and .img files, which unless I am unaware, cannot be used as bootable installers. Really thought someone was zealous enough to create an iso of the os, but sadly that doesnt seem to be the case
19 Φεβ 2022 · I couldn't get the .bin file to convert cleanly. Even flashed it to a USB and tried to lift a disk image of it in .img format and then convert it to ISO and that didn't work either. I think it has to do with the mulit-partition nature of the image when laid out on a disk, but I could be wrong. Any additional advice would be appreciated.
28 Νοε 2022 · Download the chrome recovery utility extension, click the cog wheel, use local image, click the .zip file you got from the link, plug in your usb or ssd card of choice, and follow the directions it provides.
22 Ιουλ 2022 · Pretty sure that wouldn't work though. The .img is a multi-partition image of a hard-disk. That's not how optical media works and without write-access you're probably gonna have a bad time.
16 Οκτ 2022 · Open the recov tool, open dev tools(F12), press the three dots button then More Tools > Network conditions. Untick "Use browser default", choose something like "Chrome - Windows", now you have spoofed your OS. Now, the tool will let you download if you refresh the page, but still cannot flash to your USB, so you'll want to rip its download URL.

12 Φεβ 2021 · Hello, I want to download some chrome os ISO images to test in a virtual machine. I am interested in both newer and older versions. My requirements are simple: ISO files that can work in a virtual machine. I would prefer if they worked correctly in gnome-boxes. Thanks in advance!
13 Φεβ 2022 · To install Chrome OS from an ISO file, you will need to: Download the Chrome OS ISO file from the internet. Create a bootable USB drive or SD card using the ISO file. Restart your computer and enter the BIOS or UEFI settings. Change the boot order to boot from the USB drive or SD card. Save the changes and exit the BIOS or UEFI settings.
27 Φεβ 2022 · If you really need an iso and have already written a USB, on Linux you can just dump the USB to an iso with dd (CLI) or GNOME Disk Utility (GUI). For dd I believe you can just do dd if=/dev/sdX of=CrOSFlex.iso (replace sdX with your drive). In GNOME Disk Utility you should be able to create a backup of the drive with .iso or .img as an option.
12 Νοε 2023 · But it is a little bit difficult to download apps u know. Like it doesn't have play store and we need to first enable the linux app support and then install any apps. There is support to PWA Apps (chrome apps) but no direct app store. So if u know linux well u can actually run this linux based os (chrome flex os).
