Please apply for permits online by submitting your permit applications, plans and all contractor documents to Onlinepermits@northmiamifl.gov. For general assistance and inquires, please email the Office of Building Services. Customers can only request an inspection by filling out the online form.

eDMS is the City of North Miami Beach’s new online permitting and land management customer service portal. It is designed to automate project review for building, planning, zoning, public works permits, inspections, code enforcement, and citizen requests. eDMS handles permitting and licensing processes, payments, as well as citizen self-service.

Building, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical officials inspect new and existing structures for compliance. Effective December 31, 2023 - The 8th Edition (2023) Florida Building Code goes into effect. All permit applications and plans submitted on/or after that date must comply with this edition.
