1 Μαΐ 2018 · Civil 3D layers are named things with a format like XX-XX-XX-XX ( for example C-Road-Mass-View), is there some resource somewhere that clearly spells out what the different spaces are for and what different letters and words mean (some are obvious but others aren't).

18 Οκτ 2017 · Before civil 3d will ever be BIM compliant it needs to fundimetally change how we do things, we need to be able to model every piece of civil infrastructure such as roads, kerbs, manholes, pipes, manhole covers etc. Not just model a final surface. Civil 3d / revit is so far away from being able to bring civils into BIM its 10+years away.

If I have a tight grouping of points where the labels are overlapping I like to drop the drawing scale to help make things more legibl...
31 Οκτ 2016 · In Civil we customarily draw to some surveyed coordinate system, so all our lines, points, and other things are quite a distance up from the origin. The WCS origin never moves- it is not capable nor is it allowed to move.
