I totally understand your anxiety but it often takes weeks to diagnose anything.

  6. 4 Δεκ 2021 · To answer your question, yes very rarely something is missed in a colonoscopy and other diagnostic tests, none of them are 100% reliable. I had a colonoscopy very recently and the endoscopist in fact listed missing something as one of the ‘risks’ of the procedure.

February 10, 2022. @Snowdrop Hi I think (no medical qualification) that why you can have anemia is that the cancer cells are the ones getting first daps at all your nutrients etc. Feeling really tired or being anaemic can be the only signs of bowel cancer. xx.

The 25mm polyp had an adverse lift and was described as pT1 R1 SM3. A tumour roughly 2mm by 3.5mm was found within the polyp and it was not possible to identify a clear 1mm margin around the tumour.

I received histology/biopsy results last Thursday where I was told that all margins of the tumor and colon removed are free of cancer (R0), and that all 27 lymph nodes removed were cancer free (N0). I therefore do not need to have adjuvant chemo therapy.
