  1. 16 Μαρ 2017 · This suggests excitement, upset, indignation. "People were crazy for / about the election results in the country." This suggests delirious happiness. It's often used in the negative: "they weren't crazy about the results" means they didn't like the outcome. In general I think we say " went crazy over " and " were crazy for / about."

  2. 24 Σεπ 2011 · Sep 24, 2011. #2. "crazy about" est toujours suivi d'un nom, et un verbe en -ing est considéré comme un nom (verbal). C'est la même chose après toutes les prépositions : be fond of reading - be keen on swimming - be crazy about skiing ... La traduction en français pour "I'm fond of reading" peut être "j'aime lire" ou "j'aime la lecture".

  3. 10 Σεπ 2006 · "crazy about" indicates a more general state of infatuation. I also agree with renegade angel that the difference between "crazy for" and "crazy about" is not like the difference between "really want" and "really like". I believe "crazy about" is closer to "in love with", than to liking, a person. So both crazies want, if I can put it so crudely.

  4. 3 Ιουν 2024 · USMeg said: This and that are relative terms, for things "more close" (this) or "less close" (that). It is idiomatic to say "That's crazy!" about someone else's experience, in particular in response to a story someone tells you. "This is crazy!" would only be said about something YOU are doing or seeing right now.

"Makes me crazy" has a more ominous connotatin to me (Taking that medication makes him crazy) than "drives me crazy" (Kids, stop that screaming! It's driving me crazy). "You make me crazy" can be a "good" thing as well, so to speak.

  6. 1 Ιαν 2013 · cantonese. Jan 1, 2013. #1. I'm watching a film called Step Up: The Streets. I'm not sure whether I really understand what 'talk crazy' means. A girl battles a boy who is very good at dancing. Almost everyone thinks she probably loses.

  7. 3 Σεπ 2008 · Senior Member. New York. English-United States. Sep 3, 2008. #3. "Most crazy" is not incorrect, but "craziest" definitely sounds better.

  8. 29 Δεκ 2005 · Si è vero! Diciamo che "you turn me on" è piú usato nel contesto sessuale, come per dire "mi ecciti". Per dire mi fai impazzire è meglio "you drive me crazy". Drive somebody crazy=far impazzire qualcuno. Anche se drive sb crazy può essere usato nel contesto sessuale per dire sempre mi fai impazzire, come è scritto anche quí su WordRefence.

  9. 11 Μαΐ 2009 · Hi! How would you say driving me crazy- in British English? I wan to say thinking about my exam is driving me crazy. I think if I say annoying me, is not correct. Thanks

  10. 23 Οκτ 2005 · So "crazy-ass" means off the mark, and somewhat bad-- like the Big Guy's idea about dropping turkeys out of helicopters. Or it can mean eccentric and entertaining, like the Barbara Hershey movie. If your disposition doesn't run along all that straight a line itself, it can simpy mean "great."
