Daenerys Targaryen. Daenerys Targaryen (/ dəˈnɛərɪs tɑːrˈɡɛəriən / də-NAIR-iss tar-GAIR-ee-ən) [2] is a fictional character in the series of epic fantasy novels A Song of Ice and Fire by American author George R. R. Martin. She is a prominent point-of-view character, and is one of the series' most popular characters.
Daenerys and Drogo are wed outside of the walls of Pentos. Daenerys receives multiple bride gifts, including three petrified dragon eggs from Illyrio, three handmaidens (Irri, Jhiqui, and Doreah) from her brother, and a magnificent silver mare from Drogo.
