Poorly written dialogue with some big name actors, lots of blood but also terrible CGI specifically the scene where Samuel L Jackson’s character gets bit in half by the shark. Also the animatronic shark looked pretty cool and realistic as well.

I don't remember them all but I think the teens having a boat party at the start of the film would normally die. Having all the women die and two men surviving was another.
9 Αυγ 2020 · One of the super sharks gave birth inside the flooding underwater research center. And there’s dozens of piranha like baby super sharks now. Also, good fucking thing heaving-breasts-chick only got her wetsuit half zipped before an explosion happened.

Like how did Thomas Jane's character swim with the sharks and not get bitten them. (The regular sharks). I did however enjoy the fact that the sharks would at times toy with the people and troll them hard.

Need a Deep Blue Sea 4. Watched all three back to back to back and I tell you what, you gotta start drinking a fair bit before the first film for the third to be ok. The conundrum is you don't need to drink at all for the first to hold up.
16 Αυγ 2016 · Deep Blue Sea is, aside from the first Jaws, one of the best Shark movies out there. It had a good cast, the right amount of humor, and the fact that it killed off it's main character at the end took balls. Notable mentions for me would be, Jaws 2, Open Water, and Shark Night.
2 Δεκ 2021 · Here is my top 5: The Shallows: tension, fear, hope, it’s got it all. Deep Blue Sea: got to love the cast and the effects hold up. Jaws: classic through and through. 47 Meters Down: unassuming at first but the intensity builds and great ending. Sharknado/The Meg: it’s a tie for my cornball adventure, different budgets but both are great.
