We’ve been using systems for over a decade with smart card readers, and ever since the E6410 latitude (~2010/2011) I’ve noticed they’ve kind of really sucked, at least on Windows 8.1.
26 Μαΐ 2016 · This is actually the Dell WLAN HotKey Driver. The typical Dell installer didn’t work, so I clicked Extract, saved it to the C drive, then ran the EXE manually. It worked fine after that. Mine is the E5470, but there shouldn’t be any difference. Hopefully, Dell will fix that in the next software revision.
7 Μαρ 2013 · I know that it is part of the Dell ControlPoint Security Device, but the only file that I can find on Dell for it is an executable installer for the driver and some software. What I want is a driver only, so that I can inject it into our imaged computers using a Task Sequence in Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.

This will disable the pnp so we can take control of the driver injection. While the Inject Drivers step is highlighted look at the top and click ADD > General > New Task Sequence Variable.
