1 cm3 is simply a cube with sides 1 cm x 1 cm x 1 cm 1 dm3 is therefore a cube with sides 1 dm x 1 dm x 1 dm hence 1 m3 is a cube with sides 1 m x 1 m x 1 m 100 cm = 10 dm = 1 m 1 dm = 1 cm How many 1x1x1 cm cubes fit inside a 1x1x1 dm cube? 10 along one edge x 10 along the base x 10 up the sides. 1000 Likewise 1000 1x1x1 dm cubes fit a 1x1x1 m cube.
My chemistry teacher doesn't make much sense in lessons. She said that there is a difference between dm-3 and dm3. But she didn't explain it well so i was wondering if anyone could help me out.
I'm trying to work out the concentration: I have the mass of my solid so this is the method i used please can you confirm if it's right mass/mr= mols molx1000/volume= conc in dm3 than as you said conc x mr I need the answer to be in g cm3 not dm3?
the formula is moles = concentration (mol/dm3) x volume (dm3) so it is mol = conc x vol mol = 0.1 x 2 mol = 0.2 hope that is right
The dm3 just means liters so to get from literes3 to cm3 multiply by 1000
The table below shows some features of gas exchange of a fish at rest. Volume of oxygen absorbed by the gills from each dm3 of water /cm3 = 7 Mass of fish / kg = 0.4 Oxygen required by fish / cm3 kg–1 hour–1 = 90 (i) Calculate the volume of water that would have to pass over the gills each hour to supply the oxygen required by the fish.
28 Μαΐ 2024 · So, there is 1000 dm3 in 1 m3 . ... To convert from kg/m3 to g/cm3, we can use the conversion factor 1 g/cm3 = 1000 kg/m3. Therefore, the density of air in g/cm3 is 0.001 g/cm3.
28 Μαρ 2016 · Therefore, there are 0.02 moles of Na2 in the Na2CO3 meaning there are 0.04 moles of Na+ in Na2CO3. 0.02 + 0.04 = 0.06 moles The total volume is 200cm3. 0.06/ 0.02dm3 = 0.3mol/dm3 Thanks! I was stupid and when I saw there was 0.02 moles NaCl, I divided it by 2 to get 0.01 moles Na+ ( ) and used the same technique for the other solution
22 Μαΐ 2024 · 7500 cm3 From dm to cm, multiply by a thousand because for every 1 dm3 There is 1000 cm3 Since it is volume (units are cubed), you must multiply by 103, or 1000. 1dm3 : 1000cm3 7.5dm3 : unknown ...
27 Μαΐ 2024 · To make 100 cm3 of this new solution, you would mix 10 cm3 of the 0.1 mol/dm3 solution with 90 cm3 of water. Weight of hydrogen gas? The weight of hydrogen gas is approximately 0.08988 grams per mole.
