19 Ιουν 2019 · Most grappler builds use Rogue or Bard precisely for the expertise that those classes get at low level. It might be better to start with Fighter or Barbarian though so that you get Strength saving throws with proficiency without spending a feat on it down the line.
I find rogue to be the easiest class to come up with concepts for (personally): Marvel universe: Starlord (peter quill), Hawkeye (rogue scout), Black Widow, to name a few off top of head. DC: Joker. Historical figures: Jack the Ripper, Harriet Tubman, D.B. Cooper, Jesse James, Frank Abignale, etc. Fictional Characters: Half of Princess Bride's ...
I still think College of Swords is perfect for what they want. It's much easier to bend the Bard class in the Rogue direction than to try to bend the Rogue class in the healer direction. You'd miss out on Cunning Action and Sneak Attack, but still get Expertise, and get Jack of all Trades too.
20 Οκτ 2020 · Like most classes in D&D, the rogue doesn’t choose their subclass until 3rd level. If you’re playing a rogue from 1st level and think you want to become an Arcane Trickster later, you should choose a race that improves your Dexterity score (and perhaps also your Intelligence score).
22 Αυγ 2020 · The extra range won't be too much of an issue unless your early battlemaps are wide open fields without cover. The lack of loading property won't affect them as a rogue, or really any class at that low level. I say go for it.
